Hilary learned to knit in her early teens and continued to knit off and on as a hobby until approximately 5 years ago when she discovered felting and “Because I Felt Like It” was born. Last year, Hilary quit her job to follow the dream of knitting full time. All of her products are hand knit approximately 30 – 50% larger than the finished product. From there they go through a hot water process during which they shrink creating “felt”. Products range from creatures such as bunnies, cats, owls and other birds to hats, mittens, slippers and tea cozies. Although originally from Ontario, Hilary has lived in Newfoundland for 15 years and now resides in Torbay. She is what she calls, “A Lucky Mainlander”!
